And apparently they love her - for the past ten years Judge Hensley has had the businest JP court in the county with over 2,100 new civil cases filed in 2025. Judge Hensley hears a variety of cases -- small claims, evictions, debt claims, occupational driver's licenses -- even tow hearings -- as long as the value involved doesn't exceed $20,000. People who have chosen Judge Hensley's court for their needs say they leave her court feeling heard and respected, even if they didn't win their case.
About Dianne
Background
Judge Hensley had over 25 years of business and public policy experience before being elected in 2014.
Her business experience included serving as the Land Manager for an independent energy firm in Houston, owning and operating a small construction firm and two Curves women’s fitness centers, and working on foreclosures for one of the largest banks in the state.
While living in Washington, D.C., Judge Hensley served on the staff of a US Congressman, and later as the manager of legislative services for a major trade association. Her interest in conservative public policy led her to later serve as the legislative liaison for Concerned Women for America of Texas for over a decade.
She and her husband Clayton had four children; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
